during WWII or we would have lost the war! Think about it, if we had the same media scrutiny that we have today during WWII, we would be speaking German right. Well maybe not German, but life would be completely different.
America lost 20,000 men in single battles: Normandy, Iowa Jima to name just 2. Jeez, the way the press is covering the Irag war, you would think we have lost 100,000 men. Hell we lost 650,000 men during our own civil war.
